overnight rafting trips
Imagine thrilling rapids, sleeping under the stars, and eating freshly-baked treats. A soft, sandy beach patterned with moose and bear tracks. The rapids were great, the sleeping bag is warm. And that tent! Pure luxury. On our overnight trips, experience real wilderness as we travel 90 km over 2 or 3 days on the river. It's an amazing escape from the modern world, and our guides make sure you are always full, comfy and warm. All meals and rafting gear provided, with sleeping bags, pads and tents available to rent. Smoky Overnight
A blend of mellow and exciting; stretches of gentle floats are interspersed with fun rapids and big volume waves on this class 2/3 trip. Great for families and youths. We only run the rapids suited to the ability of the group, making it safe for kids. The beauty of the northern Boreal forest provides the backdrop for an incredible wilderness experience. In the high water of June & July, the river is a thrilling roller coaster with big waves and powerful, friendly hydraulics. Late summer the lower water is a clear smoky green, with fun holes that we stop and surf in.

Kakwa Overnight
The mighty Kakwa is one of Alberta’s most exciting whitewater rivers, and considered the province's best overnight rafting trip. This class 3/4 river is gradual but fast for the first part, then slams into a wild, steep section with tremendous bends, drops and hazards. Spend hours getting soaked by huge waves, then hit the beach for great meals served up by the guides. Relax by the fire and crawl into your cozy tent. The Kakwa feeds into the Smoky, so on day 2 you will hit the best of the Smoky River rapids. Available late May, June and early July.

Willmore Park Backcountry Trips
Willmore Park is 4597 sq. km of pristine mountain wilderness. The best way to experience Willmore is from horseback. These trips offer the best of both worlds: horse back riding and white water rafting. Please call us about availability and rates for the following trips.

Muddywater River Raft n’ Ride
An unique journey into Willmore Wilderness Park; absolutely our most scenic trip! Float by the incredible beauty of the Rocky Mountains & Continental Divide. You will ride into the Park on horseback, cross the swiftly flowing Muddywater River (on your horse!) and then camp overnight beside the Smoky River. Multi-day Raft n’ Ride
Two great trips, one easy package. First, trail ride into Willmore Park with horse outfitters for 2-3 days. Spend a night in town & enjoy a shower! Next take a 2-3 day raft trip - either the Smoky or Kakwa Overnight Trip as listed above. These trips have very limited availability, see please call well in advance!
