When is the best time to go Rafting?
We operate 7 days a week, from the May long weekend until the September long weekend. But, we are usually open a week or two earlier and later, so always call and check if you want to do an earlier or later trip. All the seasons bring their own special magic. Trips in May are the best time to see wild life, especially spring babies. Canada geese with their distinctive call are a constant presence. High water is June, and it's often raining. August can be the warmest month. Late season trips in September catch the spectacular fall colours of the Rocky Mountains. The waters are low and clear, and offer great chances to play in endless surfing spots, gather beautiful rocks, and watch the northern lights at night. Two natural factors affect rafting trips: weather and water levels.

WEATHER: Yes, we go if it's raining. No, we don't offer rain checks or let you cancel for bad weather. We do have lots of great gear that keeps you warm, even on the most miserable of days. See what we provide. This is the mountains and it's not uncommon to have rain, hot sun and strong winds all in a 3 hour trip! We do our best to be prepared.

WATER LEVELS: Generally, the higher the water, the more exciting the trip. Some rivers are measured by the government. For others, we have a water marker. High water season is generally June & early July. This can and does change according to how much snow there was, when it melts, and how much it rains. Please call us if you want to know current water levels.
