Cadomin Basic Caving
The 1.5 hour hike to the entrance ascends 300 meters over
steep terrain that can be muddy and slippery. You should be physically
fit and have proper footwear and clothing. During this
5 – 6 hour day, participants spend 1 1/2 – 2 hours exploring
the top level of Cadomin Cave including the Main Gallery, East Gallery,
Dragons Throat and Mess Hall. Learn about bats, how the cave was formed,
and find fossils from Alberta’s ancient past. This is an exciting
and challenging activity. A reasonable level of fitness is required for
the 300 meter elevation gain on the 1 – 2 hour hike. We provide
UIAA approved helmets & headlamps. All guides are licensed and have
first aid training and cave rescue training. Information
