The Ranch is in the scenic foothills of the Canadian Rockies near Hinton,
Alberta, just 20 minutes from Jasper National Park. The cabins all include
full kitchen facilities so you can do your own cooking. The ranch is located
1 km off Hwy 40, just 10 minutes from the town of Hinton. In true western
style, horse trail rides are available at the ranch. Nearby is William
Switzer Provincial Park, where you can enjoy hiking and canoeing.
The Cabins Big Bear Cabin (pictured above)
A beautiful, , mountain-style modern log cabin with
full kitchen and living
room. Wood and natural gas heating, gas cooking, and running water.
There are two bedrooms, one
with two singles, and the other
has a queen bed. There is also a single bed
in the loft (ladder access). The futon couch in the living room folds
out into a double bed. The bathroom has an extra large tub, handheld shower,
and flush toilet. Capacity: 6-7 adults. Rate: $200/night, based on full
occupancy. Price negotiable if less than fully occupied.
Little Bear Cabin (picture)
This older, rustic cabin has a true sense of the history of Entrance Ranch
(operating since the 1800's) The one-room
cabin has a queen and a single bed.
The bathroom is separate, with a large tub and handheld shower. The small
kitchen facility includes a two-burner gas stove, half-size fridge, toaster,
coffee maker, dishes, utensils, etc. A charming feature of this cabin
is a library with several hundred books, some dating back to the 1880's.
